After graduating from New Jersey Institute of Technology, Mr. Christian joined the US Air Force where he served as a pilot. He then joined AT&T and held various management positions in technology organizations during a career that spanned 27 years. He obtained his Masters of Business Administration degree from Seton Hall University where he taught as an Adjunct Professor in the masters program. His business career included executive positions at AT&T and two prominent consulting firms.
Mr. Christian joined the Orange district after successfully completing New Jersey’s Alternate Route program, and taught 7th and 8th grade Science at OMS from 2001 through 2006. During that time he also introduced the Little Kids Rock program to the school that provides both musical instruments and instruction to interested students. He has led the Little Kids Rock Guitar program at Orange Prep Academy since 2002. He is now focusing solely on guitar instruction, and runs the Little Kids Rock after school program for OPA students.
During the past several years, Little Kids Rock has provided OPA students with the opportunity to compose and record their own music. Three of their performances can now be seen on the Little Kids Rock web site. Please take the opportunity to see videos of our students playing Elvis Presley’s “That’s Alright Mama”, “Amazing Grace”, and an original song called “Your Entire Fault”.
Our goal for this year is to continue to provide this opportunity to students who show an interest in learning to play their own guitar compositions.
