Brian M. Silvoy has worked in Orange since 1997 at the Cleveland Street Elementary School where he enjoys writing songs for student performances and has produced/directed several junior productions there, including Annie, Once On This Island, and Schoolhouse Rock Live.

He attended Moravian College and graduated from the University of the Arts (formerly the Philadelphia College of Performing Arts) with a Bachelor in Jazz Guitar Performance and a Master of Arts in Music Education. At the University of the Arts, he studied with Bob Dinardo, and he performed with Grover Washington, Jr., Bill Watrous, Randy Brecker, Victor Gomez, John Blake and many other Philadelphia-based musicians.

Mr. Silvoy plays guitar professionally in the NY-NJ metropolitan area, recently for the New York Music Festival in Manhattan (The Shaggs-Philosophy of the World) and for the 2004 Fringe Festival ("Slut").  He has performed in the Broadway pit of Les Miserables and has recorded for several major motion pictures including Autofocus, Secretary, and Holy Smoke.
