Kathryn A. Wall is the Music Teacher/Choral Director for Grades Kindergarten through Five at Main Street Elementary School. Mrs. Wall grew up in Bayonne, N.J. and attended Holy Family Academy. During her high school years, she participated in chorus, played first trombone with the orchestra and acted in musicals. She was the recipient of the Holy Family Music Award for three consecutive years. She studied music education at Jersey City State College (now New Jersey City University), receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree and K-12 Music Certification in May 1977. As a college student Mrs. Wall participated in College Choir, Women’s Choir and was a vocal, instrumental and show piano accompanist. She earned a Master of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education/Supervision at New Jersey City University in May of 2002. Kathryn Wall taught music in many elementary schools and gave private piano instruction throughout her career. She was hired by the Orange School District in September 2004, becoming one of the first faculty members at Main Street Elementary School. Mrs. Wall is a member of the Music Educators National Conference (MENC), the New Jersey Music Educators Assocation (NJMEA), New Jersey Education Association (NJEA) and Kappa Delta Pi, The International Honor Society in Education.
