Main Street Inauguration Song
How long have we waited for reasons to hope, progress towards real equality, and respect that has been so long denied? Only those who've seen many years can fully answer that, but throughout these years heroes and heroines amonst us have always had the courage to move our country in that direction. Listen to the children of Main Street School express all their appreciation and celebration of progress at our last PTA meeting on January 27th.

Mrs. Wall's 3rd Grade students explored The Instruments of the Orchestra through a WEBQUEST site: See it here! (Webquest is a wonderful site with teacher created/rated lessons in all areas of the curriculum). They were able to hear, see read about, classify by family, meet musicians, and more. The objective, other than learning about the instruments, is to help them make an informed decision about an instrument they might like to play in Grade 4! In the photos below, they are writing about their choice using a guide created on Main Street's portable "Neo" - a word processor. Upon completion they will be able to put their work on a desktop computer for editing, adding photos, etc.
